LIT Calling Pro uses a proprietary multi-pass deep-scan algorithm that reads
raw storage sectors rather than relying solely on the file-system index. When
you delete a file on Android, the operating system only removes the file-system
pointer — the underlying data often remains intact until overwritten by new
content. Our engine identifies file-header signatures (magic bytes) across all
sectors, reconstructs fragmented files, and presents them as recoverable
previews. This approach works on both internal storage and external SD cards,
achieving a recovery rate consistently above 99% on unoverwritten data.

Recovery after a factory reset depends on several factors including the device
model, Android version, and whether the internal storage has been encrypted by
the OEM. On many devices, a factory reset does not immediately overwrite all
data — it primarily removes the encryption key and file-system tables. If the
physical data sectors have not been rewritten, our deep-scan engine can often
recover significant portions of your deleted files. For best results, do not
install any new apps or write data to the device before running LIT Calling
Pro immediately after the reset.
The Encrypted Vault uses AES-256-GCM encryption — the same standard used
by the US government for top-secret data. Each file is encrypted individually
with a unique initialisation vector (IV), meaning that even if one file's
encryption were theoretically compromised, all other files remain unaffected.
Vault keys are derived from your PIN or biometric credentials using PBKDF2
with 200,000 iterations, and they are never stored in plaintext anywhere on
the device or transmitted off-device.
Yes — the core recovery engine, encrypted vault, file manager, and spam
blocker all work fully offline. An internet connection is only required for
optional features such as cloud backup synchronisation, real-time spam
database updates, and cloud-based caller-ID lookups. All local data is
processed entirely on your device.
No root access is required for the vast majority of features. Standard recovery
from the user-accessible storage partitions, the full vault, file manager, smart
dialer, and privacy shield all operate within normal Android permission boundaries.
Root access can optionally be granted to enable deeper sector-level scans on
certain device models, which may improve recovery rates on heavily used storage,
but it is entirely optional and not a prerequisite for excellent results.
The Smart Dialer cross-references incoming numbers against three data sources:
our proprietary global phone-number database (updated daily), community reports
submitted by LIT Calling Pro users worldwide, and trusted third-party business
directories. Caller information — including the business name, category, and
spam probability score — is displayed on-screen within milliseconds of a call
arriving, so you can make an informed decision before you answer.
Call recording laws vary by country and region. LIT Calling Pro surfaces a
clear in-app disclaimer reminding you to comply with the recording laws of your
jurisdiction before enabling this feature. The app records both sides of a call
in high-quality AAC audio, saves recordings locally (and optionally to your
encrypted cloud vault), and organises them by contact name and date for easy
retrieval. Automatic recording can be toggled globally or per contact.
LIT Calling Pro is designed with a privacy-first philosophy. We collect only
the minimum data required to provide the service: anonymised crash reports (opt-in),
aggregated feature-usage analytics (opt-in), and caller-ID query hashes (never the
full number in plaintext). We do not sell personal data to third parties, do not
run any in-app advertisements, and are fully GDPR and CCPA compliant. You can
